BIG partners with HBCUs and organizations working to end domestic violence, the leading cause of death for Black women under-45. Through the HBCU Golf Tournament and other activities, we raise money and awareness to help end violence against women and children.
Our tournament, held annually in October - Domestic Violence Awareness Month - is open to seasoned and novice golfers, as nationally less than 3% of recreational golfers are Black.
BIG strives to increase Black participation in the sport through Soulful Sundays, our weekly golf clinic, to create a nurturing space to learn the game, cultivate community and foster positive social impact on and off the course.
Our fundraising directly supports HBCU students and survivors of intimate partner violence.
Black participation in recreational golf is less than 3% - we want more Black people to play the game.
