WHAT WE DO
We fundraise to support violence prevention programs at HBCUs
BIG partners with HBCUs to end domestic and intimate partner violence, the leading cause of death for Black women under-45. Through our HBCU Golf Tournament, Skip Day and other activities, we raise money and awareness to help end violence against women and children.
Our HBCU Golf tournament is held in October - Domestic Violence Awareness Month and HBCU Homecoming Season - for new and novice golfers, as nationally less than 3% of recreational golfers are Black.
BIG strives to increase Black participation in golf through our weekly clinic and outing, Soulful Sundays, creating a nurturing space to learn, cultivate community and foster positive social impact on and off the course.
